Alexander Isak sends clear Newcastle message amid £150m Liverpool transfer links
Alexander Isak has dropped a hint about his future at Newcastle United amid links of a potential transfer to Liverpool. The Reds have been tentatively linked with a move to sign the Sweden international in recent weeks.
Isak has scored 14 goals in all competitions for Newcastle this season, including 13 in the Premier League. It's that form which has led to the 25-year-old being heavily linked with a move away from St James' Park, with rumours intensifying ever since the January transfer window opened.
A report in The Telegraph last month claimed that Liverpool viewed Isak as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is out of contract at the end of the season. However, it was reported that Newcastle have set a £150million asking price for any club who may want to sign Isak either in January or during the summer transfer window.

Amid the speculation around his future, Isak has dropped a hint about what could be next in his career.
"Playing football at this level has always been a dream and probably the main dream that I've had," he told Prime Video Sverige.
"Playing in the Premier League for a club like Newcastle with a fan base like they have here is extra special."
Liverpool are already blessed with six forward options in their squad, with Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz used as centre forwards this season. Cody Gakpo has also been used in the position in the past, while Mohamed Salah and Federico Chiesa operate on the right wing.
Newcastle signed Isak from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022 for a club-record fee reportedly worth around £63million. He has since gone on to score 49 goals in 88 appearances and is five goals behind Salah in the Premier League Golden Boot race.
