Alexander Isak can do something with astonishing with Newcastle - and Alan Shearer agrees with me
Former Premier League manager Tim Sherwood has urged Alexander Isak to stay at Newcastle United - telling the forward he will never play in front of a "better" fanbase than those at St James' Park.
Isak, 25, has been in sensational form for the Magpies this season, scoring 15 goals in 19 Premier League games.
The Swede's brace in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers made him the fourth Premier League player to score in eight consecutive games.

But such form has come at a cost for Newcastle, who have seen their talisman linked with moves to Arsenal in Barcelona recently due to his recent prolificacy in front of goal.
Sherwood believes it would be "very difficult" for any club to make a move for Isak and warned the striker, if he was to leave, that he won't be playing in front of a better fanbase than the Magpies.
Speaking to Discasino, Sherwood said: “Unless Alexander Isak says to the Newcastle owners that he wants to leave, I think it’s going to be very difficult for any club to sign him. It would need to be an unbelievable offer – but what does an unbelievable offer mean these days? £150m? £50m gets you an average player these days!
“For me, Isak will never play in front of a better fanbase than what he currently has at Newcastle. I speak to Alan Shearer and Les Ferdinand who say the same thing – it’s difficult to find a better fanbase than what’s up there at St. James’ Park.
“He’s the absolute package at the moment with regards to his all-round game. He can dribble past players, comes into deep areas, and he can even score those scruffy goals from inside the six-yard box. He’s what every club is looking for at the moment and I think everyone now feels that he could produce some astonishing numbers this season."
He added: “Having said that, Newcastle need to buy some players to try and get them back into the Champions League, which is where Isak belongs. They’re the richest club in the Premier League, but they can’t spend any money – it’s a real headscratcher! I don’t think anyone really understands the FFP regulations at the moment.”
