George Alexander wants at least 20 goals this season after leading Eastbourne Borough to an impressive response.

His hat-trick was part of a 5-0 win at Enfield to take Borough second in Vanarama National League south.

They had gone down 3-0 at Boreham Wood on Saturday.

Alexander said: “The performance to a man was superb from everyone. We needed that performance.

“It’s a tough place to come. They have not lost in six and we have come here and done that to them.

“Our home form is superb but we need to take it away as well.”

Camron Gbadebo scored his first goal for the Sports and Yahaya Bamba converted a penalty.

Alexander is keen to boost his goal tally in the promotion run-in.

He said: “I want to get 20 and more. That’s the aim.”

Borough, on 61 points, are four behind leaders Dorking Wanderers.

Fourth-placed Worthing have 59 points with three games in hand on each of the top two.
