Wycombe Wanderers head coach Mike Dodds has revealed his squad is nearly ‘back to full capacity’ as they prepare to face Birmingham City this weekend.

The Chairboys head to St Andrew’s in second whilst Brum sit top of the tree, nine points ahead with a game in hand over the Adams Park team.

However, Wanderers will be buoyed with confidence heading into the lunchtime kick-off, as they have scored the most goals in the division this season with 58, as well as keeping three clean sheets in their last four games.

Additionally, star striker Richard Kone is fully fit and is in contention to start.

Speaking on his return, Dodds said: “He had a full week last week, and he has had a full week this week.

“I love working with Richard.

“He has a huge amount of ability but I think it’s unfair to dismiss Dan Udoh, who has scored in two of the previous games leading up to Saturday.

“He’s in really good form and he has trained well.”

“We’re getting back to a point where we are nearly at a fully fit squad which will give me even more headaches in terms of selection – this is a positive thing though.”

When asked about those who could return, Dodds added: “We have no fresh injury updates.

“Jack Grimmer [who has been injured since the 2-1 win against Barnsley on January 28] is back training with the group now which is a big plus.

“Kieran Sadlier is about a week away.

“He’s been doing some running and his rehab is going very well.

“We’re almost back to full capacity.”

The clash on March 1 has now officially been labelled as a sell-out with both teams selling their allocated tickets, with over 2,000 Wycombe fans making the trip to the Second City.

Dodds concluded: “I think it will be a tight game and just need to make sure that when that moment happens, it falls for Wycombe and not Birmingham.
