Alvin Ayman signs first professional Liverpool contract months after transfer arrival
Liverpool teenager Alvin Ayman has agreed his first professional terms with the club. He arrived from Wolves last summer.
Terms of his contract are undisclosed. But Liverpool has moved quickly to tie the youngster to a senior contract.
A midfielder by trade with the capability to play in defense as well, Ayman has been spending time in the U18 side this season. He recently made a return from injury.
Ayman, 17, has also been included in the U19 squad for UEFA Youth League action during the course of the campaign. Like the Champions League, it has transitioned to a "league phase" format this season, with Liverpool currently in line to secure a playoff spot.

The young talent arrived from Wolves with a significant reputation. Much like the recent arrivals of Rio Ngumoha, Trey Nyoni and Amara Nallo, his capture was considered a coup for Liverpool by those who follow youth football.
It took two months for Ayman's deal to be approved in the summer, with the Premier League conducting its standard thorough scrutiny process before giving the move the green light. Youth transfers require a five-step procedure to be completed, ensuring everything has been done in a legitimate manner and in the best interests of the young person.
According to reports, Liverpool paid around $2.6m (£2m/€2.4m) in compensation. That represented a rapid profit for Wolves, who had only acquired Ayman from Bradford City in 2023.
"New beginnings Liverpool FC," Ayman wrote when his signing was announced. "Would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Wolves for helping me develop over the past 2 years. God is good."
The next goal for Ayman will be breaking into the higher age group levels, before ultimately targeting a role under Arne Slot. He has seen fellow summer arrival Ngumoha get fast-tracked through the ranks, becoming the youngest Liverpool starter ever when he played against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup earlier this month.
Nyoni, too, will be a source of inspiration. Arriving the summer prior, he has also tasted first-team action, under both Slot and Jurgen Klopp.
So far, Ayman is on a more steady ascent. But this new contract is certainly a step in the right direction, with time very much on his side as he seeks to build his career at Anfield.
