Amad and Marcus Rashford uncertainty as Manchester United squad vs Arsenal hint dropped
Marcus Rashford and Amad were both missing from the training ground footage shared by Manchester United on Thursday ahead of the club's FA Cup third round tie with Arsenal this weekend.
United travel to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday with the ambition of building on last weekend's spirited 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield. United produced their best showing of the Ruben Amorim era thus far against the Premier League table-toppers, so much so they could have come away with all three points.
Attention now switches to the beginning of their FA Cup defence and a second visit to the Emirates in a little over a month. United lost 2-0 on December 4.

After a hectic December schedule, United have had more time on the training ground between matches over the past week or so, meaning the club has been able to capture images and video footage and broadcast it through their official channels. Footage and imagery of Wednesday's training session was the first behind-the-scenes look at training United had shared since November 27.
But there was no sign of either Rashford or Amad. The former missed the 2-2 draw with Liverpool through illness but subsequently attended Kath Phipps' funeral on Monday at Manchester Cathedral.
It is possible Rashford trained out of shot of the cameras, but it appears that he was not involved. He is being strongly linked with an exit in this month's transfer window.
Amad, who signed a new contract at United on Thursday, was missing from the images and video footage released, meaning he may be either ill or injured. Head coach Amorim will issue an update on the latest team news ahead of the clash with Arsenal when he speaks to the media at Carrington on Friday lunchtime.
Meanwhile, young goalkeeper Elyh Harrison was spotted participating in the session after being recalled from his loan spell at Chester earlier this week. Fellow youngsters Godwill Kukonki, Tyler Fredricson and Jack Moorhouse also featured.
Full training squad:
Goalkeepers: Onana, Bayindir, Heaton & Harrison.

Midfielders: Casemiro, Ugarte, Mainoo, Eriksen, Collyer, Fernandes & Moorhouse.
