Amazon Prime to stream Jurgen Klopp Liverpool documentary as change of plan revealed
The documentary on former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be streamed on Amazon Prime. The series will focus on not just the German’s final year at Anfield but his whole nine years at the club.
The documentary, which will comprise four episodes, each an hour in length, will land on Amazon’s streaming service on February 28, and will be titled ‘Doubters to Believers’, although it will only be available to watch in the UK, Nordics and Benelux regions initially.
The project was announced in January of 2024, two months on from when Klopp had initially informed Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group of his intention to step down as Reds boss at the end of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

Featuring interviews with key club figures such as Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Pep Lijnders, Andy Robertson and Curtis Jones, plus extensive time with Klopp during and after his final season in charge, the documentary will also include contributions from the likes of Jamie Carragher as well as key figures who followed Klopp’s career and rise to prominence.
Each episode moves back and forward through time, highlighting the club’s progress under the German boss, including the Reds winning the Premier League title and UEFA Champions League trophy in just four years, successes that cemented Klopp’s legacy and assured him a place in Liverpool Football Club folklore.
Following his shock decision to call time on his Liverpool career, Klopp can be seen up close and personal with his first-team squad filmed in unprecedented detail across his action-packed final campaign, a season that saw the club challenge on all four fronts, alongside the emergence of new and exciting Academy talent, with the Carabao Cup success with a youthful Reds side shown in great detail with behind the scenes access post the win over Chelsea.
Produced by Lorton Entertainment and executive produced by Ed Barratt, Julian Bird, Lucy Hardy, Angus Paskin-Orr, Kenneth Shepherd and Jonathan Smith, the series joins Prime Video’s collection of sports documentaries and docuseries including: All or Nothing: Arsenal; Ben Stokes: Phoenix from the Ashes; We Are Newcastle United; Take Us Home: Leeds United, When Eagles Dare; and more.
Effective storytelling is an important part of Liverpool’s plan to not only engage their huge existing fan base but also allow them the chance to reach new audiences. The documentary, signed off by Klopp, will form part of that strategy, with it also aiding the commercial effort at the club as its seek to continue to grow revenue streams through a variety of different means away from just the traditional pillars of income.
