Marshal’s conversion tied the game at 14-14.
Akrigg then showcased his skills with impressive footwork, scoring a diving try under the posts, which was again converted by Marshal, putting Ambleside ahead 21-14.

The match evolved into a battle of attrition, with both teams pushing hard to score.
Annan came close to levelling the match several times but faced strong defensive efforts from Ambleside.
The Centurions managed to hold Annan back during a tense moment near the try line and forced them into touch during another scoring attempt.
Despite their determination, Annan found a way to score again, narrowing the gap to 21-19.
With only four minutes remaining, Ambleside faced pressure but held firm, with players like Malin and Tebbet making crucial defensive plays.
In a final push, Ambleside turned the ball over through Lewis, who made a strong run, allowing the Centurions to run down the clock and secure the win.
