New American investors were in town at Hayes Lane on Saturday to watch the League Two club draw with second-placed Port Vale.

Bromley largely controlled the affair but could not put away their chances to take all three points.

Ravens boss Andy Woodman was frustrated that his side were unable to find the match-winner with their 24 shots and 2.14 xG.

However, Woodman is aware that claiming points against outfits in the upper echelons of League Two shows how far the club have come.

“It was frustrating, but I have to be respectful to Port Vale. They’re a well-established club, they have players in their squad who have been around the block.

“Connor Ripley, especially. He’s a Championship goalkeeper, he was fantastic.

“As much as I’m disappointed and we could have come away from this bouncing, we also have to realise that it’s not a bad point – we probably would have taken that before the game.

“It shows the expectation. The questions are now ‘Are you disappointed?’. Last year, we wouldn’t have been disappointed drawing with Port Vale. We have to keep sight of where we are on our journey."
