Ange Postecoglou appears to argue with Tottenham supporter during Man City defeat before fan criticism
A furious Ange Postecoglou appeared to exchange words with a supporter sat behind the Tottenham dugout on Tuesday night.
Erling Haaland scored a brace as Manchester City took a big step towards winning the Premier League title by ending their hoodoo at Spurs to record their first League win since the stadium was opened in 2019.
Much had been made about how seriously Spurs would take the game given taking any points off City would have helped bitter rivals Arsenal win the title.
Postecoglou always stressed that his team would be playing to win and saw his injury-stricken side produce a solid display, albeit they were eventually undone in the second-half.
After the game, Postecoglou hit out at the “fragile” foundations at the club.

“No, I think the last 48 hours have revealed to me the foundations are fairly fragile,” the Spurs boss said. “That’s what I feel.
“The last 48 hours has revealed a fair bit to me. That’s alright, that just means I’ve got to go back to the drawing board with some things. Outside [the club], inside. It’s been an interesting exercise.”
A video which emerged on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) appeared to show the Australian arguing with a supporter behind his dugout, although it is unclear as to why.
Some supporters claiming to have been close to the incident say the fan had been calling out for Postecoglou to deliberately lose the game, which the manager eventually argued back against.
The result means Spurs have missed out on Champions League qualification, with Aston Villa instead finishing fourth. They conclude their season with a trip to already-relegated Sheffield United on Sunday.
