Timo Werner would only be on the pitch for 31 minutes on Sunday as Tottenham were defeated 3-2 against Arsenal in the North London Derby. Starting on the left flank for Ange Postecoglou's side, the German international had to be replaced in the first half after sustaining a hamstring issue.

The Lilywhites will now need to assess Werner's injury and find out the significance of it as they head into the final five games of the season. The 28-year-old will be a miss if he is to face a spell on the sidelines after getting a really good run of game in the Tottenham team and managing to contribute with two goals and three assists in his 14 appearances.

If Werner is absent against former club Chelsea on Thursday evening, a spot will open up on the Tottenham bench for the game in west London. Oliver Skipp could be an option to come in providing that he has overcome a "minor knock" that ruled him out of Sunday's North London Derby, although his inclusion would leave Spurs slightly short on attacking options.

One such option who could come under consideration for the Chelsea match is Mikey Moore. Training with the Spurs first team over the past fortnight and making a big impression in the process, the 16-year-old was 21st man for the Arsenal game and he was seen entering the stadium with James Maddison ahead of the derby clash.

Moore would have come into Postecoglou's squad had any of the 20-man party suffered with illness or injury ahead of the game. A huge talent and certainly a player who looks to have a big future in the game, Moore was praised by Postecoglou in his pre-match press conference at Hotspur Way on Friday when asked by football.london.

If Moore is to miss out on selection for the Chelsea game, it could be fellow Tottenham youngster Jamie Donley who returns to the squad after an excellent 2023/24 campaign. The versatile attacker has featured in the first-team matchday squad 12 times already this season, making three appearances off the bench in the process.
