Ange Postecoglou sent major Jose Mourinho Tottenham sack warning
Ange Postecoglou is under immense pressure at Tottenham Hotspur. With Spurs 15th in the Premier League table and without a win in the league since December 15, there are growing calls for the head coach to be relieved of his duties.
Spurs turned in an insipid display at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon, losing 3-2 to Everton. In truth the scoreline could and perhaps should have been a lot worse.
However, Postecoglou retains the backing of the board at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. football.london understands that Spurs remain intent on trying to help Postecoglou rather than removing him from his position and that rumours surrounding upcoming board meetings to decide his fate in these couple of days ahead are untrue.

That could all change in the coming days and weeks, however, should Spurs continue to struggle for results.
While things are not going well in the league, Tottenham are 90 minutes away from the Carabao Cup final, having won their semi-final first leg with Liverpool 1-0. they are also well on course for the knockout stages of the Europa League, with their penultimate league phase clash at Hoffenheim this week. A win would leave them on the brink of the last 16 with a home game with Elfsborg to come next Thursday.
There's also a fourth-round FA Cup clash with Aston Villa on the horizon, with Tottenham still challenging in the other three competitions they entered at the start of the campaign.
But that does not mean much when it comes to the future, you only need to ask Jose Mourinho. Tottenham were in a much better position in the Premier League in April 2021 when he was sacked by Daniel Levy.
Spurs were seventh - a long way off where they were expecting to be - when Mourinho was sent packing. But, as supporters will remember, it was not just that, the Portuguese had guided Spurs to the final of the Carabao Cup, when was relieved of his duties at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Mourinho was not even afforded the opportunity to take Spurs in the showpiece final at Wembley Stadium - he was sacked mere days before the final. Ryan Mason took charge and Spurs lost 1-0.
So, even though Spurs have one foot in the final this year, there are no guarantees that Postecoglou will be around to take them to Wembley, should they get there.
