'Another door opens' - Nottingham Forest transfer message sent after James Ward-Prowse leaves City Ground
As news of James Ward-Prowse's Nottingham Forest departure has been confirmed fans have come out to thank the England international for his time at The City Ground.
The club confirmed that the midfielder's loan spell in Trentside has been terminated early after an agreement between them and his parent club West Ham. Despite the 30-year-old spending just 18 minutes on the pitch in his three appearances since December, Ward-Prowse was still generally well-received at the club.
Ward-Prowse initially left the Hammers on a season-long loan in the summer, with Julen Lopetegui not keen on the midfielder. However, with Graham Potter now coming in, Ward-Prowse may have a new space in the starting eleven back in London.

In a statement the club said: "Everyone at Forest thanks James for his professionalism and dedication during his time on Trentside and wish him well for the future."
Hundreds of fans took to the comments on X, one supporter said: "We won't forget that masterclass v Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and Liverpool at Anfield. Best of luck JWP."
One fan thanked Ward-Prowse for his service at the club :" Thank you for your hard work James, good luck back at West Ham," while another added: "Good player. Just not the right fit at the right time. Good luck!"
However, the news has excited some fans for a different reason, with Nottingham Forest now having an extra loan spot available for players from Premier League clubs. One fan reacted: "One loan door closes… another loan door opens."
While another hoped the Englishman's exit may be to make room for Portuguese star Joao Felix from Chelsea, "now its Joao Félix time?"
