Davis' Mavericks debut did not quite have the outcome many would have wanted, especially after a vocal portion of the fan base was already unhappy about the trade.

Anthony Davis suffers injury in Mavericks debut
Davis appeared to suffer an injury in the third quarter as he was shuffling toward the basket to defend against Rockets center Alperen Şengün.
He stopped short and placed his arm near his waist as Şengün blew right past him for a dunk. Davis immediately fell to his knees.
Davis was listed as doubtful for the rest of the game due to a lower-body injury, according to the Mavericks. Davis told reporters after the game that he felt tightness in his “groin/quad area” but it was "not serious," according to ESPN reporter Tim MacMahon.
