Antonin Kinsky's first words on £12.5m Tottenham transfer, coaching staff talk and style of play
Antonin Kinsky has stated it is a "big honour" to join Tottenham after completing his transfer from Slavia Prague. A big transfer window for the north London club with Ange Postecoglou having to do without a host of first-team regulars at present, Kinsky's move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was confirmed on Sunday morning.
The 21-year-old joins in a deal worth £12.5million and he has penned a contract that runs until 2031 in N17. Kinsky, who will wear the No.31 shirt, could possibly make his debut over the coming days with cup games against Liverpool and non-league side Tamworth on the calendar.
The arrival of Kinsky adds to Postecoglou's options in goal during Guglielmo Vicario's absence through injury. Fraser Forster has taken on the gloves since the end of November but the experienced shot-stopper missed out on Saturday against Newcastle as Brandon Austin made his competitive debut for the club.

Kinsky is very much someone who can challenge Vicario for the No.1 spot in the years ahead after arriving from the Czech Republic with a big reputation. Before he does take his place in goal for Spurs, the youngster knows the importance of pushing hard on the training pitch and making a big impression.
"I'm really happy to be here, it has been amazing to sign the contract," said Kinsky in his interview with SPURSPLAY. "Tottenham is a big name in Europe and in the world, especially in the Czech Republic, and, as I say, for me it is a big honour and I'm really happy.
"I spoke with the coaches, I spoke with the sporting director and almost with everyone I really got the feeling that this is going to be the right choice.
"It's a new experience and I'm really happy to make that first step outside of the country, so I'm really happy, really excited and looking forward to training and hopefully the games as this is the aim of every player to be on the pitch. What I'm going to do is try to push in training to get the minutes.
"I would say I'm a guy who loves football, who loves to play the game. I have been playing in the Czech Republic so far, for the last time with Slavia where I've had a good half of the season, then this offer came, and, as I said, I felt this is going to be a good decision so I decided to go and I'm really happy."
On his style of play, he added: "I like to play a lot with my feet and the rest I would say shows when I will be on the pitch."
Kinsky comes from a family of goalkeepers as his father, Antonin Kinsky, was a shot-stopper himself. The 49-year-old was capped five times by Czech Republic and was Petr Cech's understudy at Euro 2004 and the 2006 World Cup.
"He's a former goalkeeper as well," explained the new Tottenham signing. "He played for the Czech national team, in the Czech league and abroad as well, so he has been a big role model for me since the beginning.
"Every decision I make I talk about it with him and he told me of course that this is a big thing, big decision and big chance. He told me to go for this as well so I'm really happy to have this opinion."
