Antonio Conte has told Marcus Rashford what he wants to hear amid new Man United transfer claim
Marcus Rashford continues to be a wanted man in Italy with two teams now reprotedly competing for his signature. The Manchester United forward is expected to leave the club in January after losing his place in Ruben Amorim's side.
AC Milan have been one of the teams tipped to offer Rashford an escape route out of his boyhood club. The Serie A side have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old since the window opened but no deal seems close.
With over two weeks until the January transfer window closes, interest is building elsewhere and it could be Napoli who swoop in. The Partenopei have reportedly set their sights on the forward amid their pursuit of Alejandro Garnacho.

Reports in Italy recently have suggested that there is a problem in the valuation of the player by the two teams and that has delayed movement in Garnacho's switch to Naples. Now, The Sun have claimed that Antonio Conte has set his sights on Rashford to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The winger is set to move to Paris Saint-Germain this month meaning the Serie A leaders are desperate for attacking reinforcements. It's reported that Conte is a huge admirer of Rashford after watching him shine for United during his spells as a manager in the Premier League with Chelsea and Tottenham.
"It's very difficult to find anyone like him [Rashford] in England," the Italian explained in 2017. "That's the one player now who has shown he is strong physically, fast technically and a good player."
Conte later described Rashford as an "important player".
Rashford is said to want to remain in Europe, preferably in the continent's top five divisions to give himself the best possible chance of earning a spot in the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Currently, Italy is one of the most competitive leagues with Napoli, Inter and Atalanta competing for the Scudetto.
AC Milan, however, are currently seventh in the table and are competing with Lazio, Juventus and Fiorentina for Champions League football under Sergio Conceicao.
