France forward Antoine Griezmann's half-time rallying call to his team-mates, as the world champions knocked England out of the World Cup, has been revealed.

Les Bleus saw off an impressive Three Lions performance thanks to goals from Aurelien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud, either side of a Harry Kane penalty. Kane went on to miss a second penalty as England crashed out.

England were the better team for much of the game and Griezmann - who assisted Giroud's eventual winner - made his team-mate aware at the break that improvement was needed to avoid an early exit.

"We may never play for a World Cup semi-final again – we all want to live it," he told his team-mates, according to L'Equipe.

"We can’t go home tonight guys, we have to do more."

Adrien Rabiot reportedly then echoed Griezmann's words and added his own sentiments.

France next face Morocco in the second World Cup semi-final on Wednesday. The winner will face either Argentina or Croatia in the final.
