Liverpool boss Arne Slot has confirmed there are only two of his players sidelined with injuries at the moment ahead of the Reds facing Spurs in the Premier League.

In training later today, only two stars will not be present. Those are, of course, Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley, with Kostas Tsimikas and Diogo Jota having made returns lately. Federico Chiesa appears to have come through his appearance against Southampton in the Carabao Cup unscathed.

Andy Robertson is therefore fine to take part today and in the game on Sunday having served his one-match ban for the red card he picked up against Fulham. "They are on their way back but they don't train with the team yet," Slot said of Bradley and Konate.

"We put a lot of effort in during pre-season," Slot said when he was asked about the hectic fixture schedule. "We gave them, in my opinion, quite a few days off but we are seeing the benefit of that.

"I have fully trusted the performance staff and they have managed that well. We only have two real injuries at the moment on the training ground today, and that is important."

Harvey Elliott returned to the starting XI midweek at Southampton and Federico Chiesa emerged from the bench in the second half. With those two back, Liverpool's attacking options look a lot stronger.

"Every time a player comes back from injury, it is a boost for the team," Slot said. "We need every player as we saw in the Fulham game, the way Jarell [Quansah] and Harvey came into the team. In this league, with cup competitions too, it is so important to have all your players back.

"Fede is getting stronger and better and you can see that on the pitch. He had to adapt for quite a long time and that is expected because he missed a lot of sessions at Juventus. He went to a league where the intensity is so high. He is facing a lot of competition in the right wing position."
