Liverpool youngsters Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha could be set for minutes against Accrington Stanley in the third round of the FA Cup this weekend.
The Reds host League Two opposition on Saturday, and the game looks like the perfect opportunity for Arne Slot to rest many of his first-team stars and hand game time to some fringe players and youngsters.
The highly rated Ngumoha, who is just 16 years old, joined Liverpool from Chelsea last year and has already appeared in a matchday squad for the Reds, taking a place on the bench for the Carabao Cup game versus Southampton in December.

Arne Slot was asked whether Nyoni and Ngumoha will be in the squad versus Accrington Stanley and he said that both players are in line for more chances if they continue to impress at youth level and in first-team training.
"We still have to train [today]," Slot said. "Yesterday we couldn't because our flight from London arrived back quite late, so we gave them a day off. We have to see how everybody is recovered today, and then we have to make a decision on which players we're going to bring to the game. Trey has been in the squad many times, Rio only once I think.
"These players are doing really well when they train with us and really well for the Under-21s As long as they keep doing well for the youth team, their chances will only increase for us of course."
Slot also said that Dominik Szoboszlai and Jarell Quansah could play after illnesses: "Every game is an opportunity for them (the fringe players) to have a chance to play and this one as well. Dom trained with the Under-21s yesterday, Jarell was a bit ill last week. As a result of that I had to take him off during the game vs Spurs but I'm expecting him to be available tomorrow. We know we can use these players in every single game and also in the one we have on Saturday."
