Liverpool has not made many signings since Arne Slot arrived at the club, with Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili the only arrivals on the Dutchman's watch.

Chiesa was viewed as an opportunistic signing from Juventus last summer, with the Reds paying an initial $12million transfer fee for a player they reportedly saw a nine-figure bid for rejected four years ago.

Goalkeeper Mamardashvili, meanwhile, was immediately loaned back to Valencia for the season, meaning Slot — with the exception of Chiesa — is exclusively working with a squad assembled by predecessor Jurgen Klopp.

That he has been able to guide the team into the position that it finds itself in is testament to Slot's quality as a head coach, but it sounds as though this summer he will look to put more of his fingerprints on the squad.

That's because, according to Anfield Watch, Slot is considering getting rid of Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota in the off-season in an attacking overhaul similar to the midfield remodel which happened at the club in 2023.

On that occasion, Fabinho, Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner all left to make room for Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo.

It has been widely reported since Liverpool rejected approaches from Saudi Pro League clubs for Nunez in January that the Reds would consider offloading him at the end of the campaign, but that Diaz's and Jota's heads are also seemingly on the chopping block suggests Slot is about to get ruthless.

Diaz is said to frustrate Slot, having followed up his explosive start to the Premier League season, when he scored five goals in five appearances, with just three goals in his last 17 appearances.

Jota, meanwhile, is also a source of frustration for the Liverpool head coach due to his injury record. While clearly Liverpool's best striker when fit, he spends far too much time on the treatment table.

Federico Chiesa could also be sold for the right price, although he has not yet had a proper chance to prove himself after a slow start to his Reds career so could be spared.

Should the above come to fruition, it could be a very, very busy summer at Anfield.
