Arne Slot faces major Luis Diaz decision as Liverpool consider new-look defence
Liverpool maintained their Premier League title challenge with a well-deserved 1-1 draw at fellow contenders Nottingham Forest on Tuesday evening. Substitute Diogo Jota struck in the second half to ensure Arne Slot's side remain in a strong position at the top of the table while entering the second half of the campaign.
Liverpool now face another test on the road with a top-flight trip to Brentford on Saturday afternoon, with the Bees having drawn 2-2 with Manchester City in midweek.
And here we look ahead to the changes Slot could make when his team are next in action.

Tsimikas challenge
The second of three big games inside eight days, Slot will once again look to rotate his resources with a Champions League visit of Lille to come next Tuesday. Alisson Becker, though, remains the first-choice goalkeeper ahead of Caoimhin Kelleher with Vitezslav Jaros third in the pecking order.
At right-back, Conor Bradley is pushing Trent Alexander-Arnold for a start but may have to wait until next week. However, Kostas Tsimikas impressed when replacing Andy Robertson from the bench in the second half at Forest and could edge ahead in the battle to feature at left-back.
With Joe Gomez injured, Ibrahima Konate will most likely continue alongside Virgil van Dijk at the heart of defence although he was below par against Forest. Jarell Quansah is an alternative, while Wataru Endo has featured there in two of the last three games.
Mac Allister threat
Ryan Gravenberch ended the game on Tuesday as a temporary centre-back but will be expected return to his usual defensive midfield role despite not quite reaching the heights there against Forest.
Alexis Mac Allister was similarly not quite at his best, with Endo and Curtis Jones - who featured for the closing stages at the City Ground - pushing for a start.
Dominik Szoboszlai improved during the second half as he continues to build up sharpness after a recent absence, although Harvey Elliott once again remained unused on the bench.
Tyler Morton hasn't made the last five Premier League matchday squads, while James McConnell has been among the top-flight substitutes only once with the pair joining fellow youngster Trey Nyoni in not featuring for a minute in the league this season.
Time for Jota?
The return of Darwin Nunez from suspension gives Slot a decision to make in the number nine role, with Luis Diaz unconvincing at Forest and Jota impressive when scoring in his cameo.
Diaz could challenge Cody Gakpo for a role on the left, but the Dutchman appears to have locked down that role at present. On the right, Mohamed Salah experienced only his third Premier League game this season in which he failed to either score or assist, but is ahead of Federico Chiesa.
Young striker Jayden Danns could have upcoming opportunities in the Champions League and FA Cup should he not depart on loan during the transfer window.
