Arne Slot makes five changes as Liverpool line-up confirmed for Ipswich
Trent Alexander-Arnold returns for Liverpool as Arne Slot makes five changes for the visit of Ipswich Town in the Premier League. Andy Robertson is also recalled at left-back at the expense of Kostas Tsimikas as Ibrahima Konate starts alongside Virgil van Dijk.
Konate's return from a five-week lay-off with a knee injury has been carefully managed this month and after revealing on Monday he has been playing through the pain barrier at times since his comeback, the France international was left out of the team for Tuesday's 2-1 win against Lille in the Champions League.
However, Slot confirmed in his Friday press conference that it is "safe" for Konate to play three games in a week at the back and he is named next captain Van Dijk as the Reds look to at least maintain their six-point advantage at the summit of the Premier League table.

Alexander-Arnold is named ahead of Conor Bradley after sitting out Tuesday's game while Robertson gets the nod over Tsimikas as Slot's rotation at left-back goes on.
Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch both start at the base of the midfield with Dominik Szoboszlai further forward. Curtis Jones is ruled out with an injury, with the head coach confirming on Friday he will be assessed ahead of the PSV Eindhoven game on Wednesday in the final group game of the Champions League.
Mohamed Salah begins the game on the right side while Cody Gakpo earns a recall on the left. Luis Diaz leads the line.
Darwin Nunez drops to the bench after the two goals he scored as a substitute against Brentford last week that won the game.
Reds skipper Van Dijk makes his 300th club appearance this afternoon.
Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Diaz.
Subs: Kelleher, Endo, Nunez, Chiesa, Elliott, Quansah, Bradley, Tsimikas, Danns.
