Arne Slot makes Liverpool job title admission as official appointment nears
Arne Slot has dismissed speculation over his imminent job title at Liverpool and remains confident a deal to replace Jurgen Klopp will shortly be confirmed.
Liverpool have identified the Feyenoord boss as successor to Klopp - who will leave this summer after almost nine years in charge - and have agreed a compensation package of up to £9.4million.
There has been debate over whether Slot will assume the role of manager or will officially be regarded as head coach as part of the new structure that is being overseen by Fenway Sports Group chief executive of football Michael Edwards.

But the 45-year-old is adamant it will make no difference to his way of working once he arrives at Anfield this summer.
“I'm not interested in what you call me: you can call me Arne, head coach or manager,” said Slot on Friday, speaking at a press conference ahead of Feyenoord's game at home to PEC Zwolle on Sunday.
“I don't care as long as I can do what I like and that is being with the players on the pitch, working with them and being at the games as that is the most special.”
Liverpool and Feyenoord have yet to confirm Slot's move, although that could come next week should the Dutch side no longer be able to win the Eredivisie. Leaders PSV Eindhoven can secure the championship with victory over Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday.
And Slot added: “We haven't confirmed anything yet and as long as we haven't confirmed anything yet I don't think it is honest to the club I am working for now or the club I could go to to talk about it.
“I am more than happy to answer any questions after the official announcement is made. I have all the confidence that will happen but for now it hasn't been confirmed officially yet.
“There is a time and place to do so and this moment today is not that moment. There are three games to go for us and also for Liverpool.”
