Arsenal guaranteed to be without four players vs Everton as Gabriel decision 'confirmed'
Arsenal will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to six games when they welcome Everton to Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners have picked up 11 points out of a possible 15 from their previous five matches and currently find themselves third in the league, six points behind leaders Liverpool. Arsenal won both matches against Everton last campaign but Mikel Arteta believes it will be a tough test on Saturday against Sean Dyche's side.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday, Arteta said: "We are used to playing every three days, the boys trained today and they are really fired up and really looking forward to the game and understanding it is a tough opponent and that we will have to be at our best to beat them."

It is unclear at this stage if defenders Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori will be fit for the clash on Saturday afternoon. The pair have not yet featured in December although Arteta hinted that at least one of them could make a return against Everton.
"There is a possibility with one of them to be available," the Spaniard said. "He trained today. We will see tomorrow." Asked who he was referring to, Arteta said: "It’s Gabriel."
On Calafiori Arteta added: "We’re just respecting the times that the medical department has set. Then we monitor his evolution every single day. We understand he’s not fully ready yet, but he’s getting very close now."
Arteta confirmed that there were no new injury concerns with left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko remaining unavailable at present. Elsewhere, Ben White continues his recovery after undergoing a "minor surgical procedure" on a knee issue during the November international break. Takehiro Tomiyasu, meanwhile, remains away from the group as he recovers from his own injury issue.
So, looking at the official Arsenal website, the Gunners have 18 fit and eligible senior players available for selection for the game vs Everton. As per Premier League rules, a club is allowed to name a squad of 20 players for a Premier League match.
Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, who impressed in midweek against Monaco in the Champions League, are still classed as academy players on Arsenal's website but have featured in most matchday squads this campaign and that is expected to continue come Saturday. A lot may depend on whether Gabriel comes through Friday's training session and is deemed fit enough to play against Everton. Zane Monlouis, Josh Robinson and Ayden Heaven were all named on the bench in midweek and could be in contention to replace the Brazilian in the squad if he fails a late fitness test.
Possible Arsenal squad for Everton: Raya, Neto; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior, Tierney, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Jorginho, Partey, Merino, Nwaneri, Odegaard; Trossard, Sterling, Jesus, Havertz, Martinelli, Saka.
Senior players unavailable for Everton: White (knee injury), Tomiyasu (knee injury), Calafiori (groin injury), Zinchenko (muscle injury)
