Arsenal injury latest on four players ahead of Leicester City clash
Arsenal defender Ben White could push for a return from injury against Leicester City on Saturday (12.30pm) after he was spotted back in training for the Gunners.
Right-back White, who has missed Arsenal’s last 21 matches after undergoing knee surgery in November, was seen alongside his team-mates during their warm-weather training camp in Dubai. With Arsenal out of the FA Cup, they had a free weekend and have taken the opportunity to head abroad in the hope of returning in a better place for the remainder of the Premier League season, including Saturday’s game at the King Power Stadium.
Jurrien Timber has been the man starting at right-back for Arsenal most often this season and he’s been doing well, so it won’t be the case that White is rushed back in. But his return to fitness would give Mikel Arteta a fully-fit defence to choose from.

That is not true for the Gunners in attack though. Gabriel Martinelli went off with a hamstring injury in their last outing, the Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Newcastle, and he is likely to be absent this weekend. Arsenal already have Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus out of this Saturday’s match with long-term issues.
That should give City hope of keeping the Gunners a little more quiet after they conceded four to them at the Emirates Stadium in September. City had been drawing 2-2 going into added time after an astonishing display from Mads Hermansen in which he pulled off 13 saves, including several out of the top drawer.
City are expected to have just two players out. Jamie Vardy, Jannik Vestergaard and Victor Kristiansen missed the FA Cup defeat at Manchester United but only with “light injuries” and are expected to be in contention come the weekend, leaving just Ricardo Pereira and Abdul Fatawu on the sidelines.
