Arsenal learn brutal £12m transfer reality as new Mikel Arteta problem explained
Reported Arsenal transfer target Igor Jesus has seen his value rocket over the last few months, with trends suggesting that the Gunners should make their move now before his worth continues to rise.
Reports from RTI Esporte in Brazil suggest that the Gunners have seen an offer for the striker rejected by his club Botafogo. It is said that Arsenal offered to take the player on loan until the end of the season with an obligation to buy for €20 million (£16.6m) in the summer.
Mikel Arteta is on the lookout for attacking reinforcements following the injury to Bukayo Saka. The winger has undergone surgery and is now undergoing rehabilitation, but is set to spend some time on the sidelines.

At the start of the 2024 summer transfer window, he was valued at a price of just €2.5 million (£2m). A month later he completed a move from UAE Pro League side Shabab Al-Ahli Club.
