Arsenal learn Xavi Simons price tag as transfer 'decision' emerges
Arsenal have been informed how much they may need to pay in order to sign Xavi Simons.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the Paris Saint-Germain star for several weeks, with the 21-year-old currently on loan with RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.
Simons starred for the Netherlands at Euro 2024 last summer, which led to plenty of interest in his signature before he decided to return to Leipzig for another loan spell. He currently has three goals and two assists across his 11 appearances for Leipzig this season.

Reports in recent weeks have claimed that Simons could be on the move next summer, this time on a permanent deal away from PSG. Arsenal have been mentioned as apparently showing an interest, and now a fresh update has emerged about the playmaker's future.
According to The Athletic, Simons is yet to make a decision regarding his future at PSG beyond this season. The report claims that Arsenal are joined by Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich in being possible destinations for the Dutchman.
It has been reported that PSG have set an asking price of at least €80 million (£66million) before considering allowing Simons to leave the club on a permanent basis at the end of the season. The report also claims that Simons may favour a move to either the Premier League or La Liga if he was to leave the French capital.
Simons is currently sidelined with an ankle injury he suffered back in October against Liverpool in the Champions League. The 21-year-old underwent surgery on the injury and is not expected to return until after the New Year after being unavailable for almost two months.
