Arsenal have been given a double fitness boost ahead of their Champions League trip to Girona and their crunch Premier League clash with Manchester City.

Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino both trained on Tuesday after missing the 1-0 win at Wolves on Saturday.

Odegaard was absent at Molineux due to illness, while Merino suffered a minor injury in training last week.

Their fitness is a major boost for Arsenal ahead of their game with Manchester City at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Kai Havertz also training despite struggling towards the end of the Wolves game.

The Arsenal squad trained on Tuesday before they were due to fly out to Spain for their final Champions League league phase against Girona on Wednesday.

Ben White was absent again, as he gets closer to returning after 11 weeks out injured.

White has not played for Arsenal since undergoing a minor surgery to resolve a knee issue in November.

Takehiro Tomiyasu was also absent as he targets a return after his latest injury problems.

Arsenal are already assured of qualification to the last 16 of the Champions League, meaning they will avoid a two-legged play-off in February.

After the Gunners play Girona, they will then have three days to prepare for the visit of Manchester City.
