Arsenal player ratings vs Tottenham: Electric Bukayo Saka unplayable; Kai Havertz brilliant again
Arsenal beat Tottenham to keep alive their dreams of winning a first Premier League title in 20 years.
The Gunners ruthlessly punished Spurs in the first half and they were 3-0 up before the break.
An own-goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg put Arsenal ahead, before Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz extended their lead.
Spurs fought back in the second half, with Cristian Romero scoring and Heung-min Son smashing home a penalty, but Arsenal held on.
Simon Collings was at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to see Arsenal in action...
David Raya 4
Had an absolute howler for Tottenham’s goal. Tried to play out from the back, but his pass was sloppy and caught out. In fairness, he recovered well from that.
Ben White 6
Kept Spurs quiet down his flank. Did not get forward as much as usual, but this was not the game for that.
William Saliba 6
Dealt well with the threat of Heung-min Son and Richarlison when he came on. Not at fault for either goal.
Gabriel 6
A good performance from the Brazilian, who is in talks over a new contract. Played a couple of great balls out from the back.
Takehiro Tomiyasu 7
Kept his place after the win at Chelsea and feels like Arsenal’s best left-back. Missed a good chance from a free-kick early in the second-half.
Martin Odegaard 6
Not at the level he was at Chelsea on Tuesday as Arsenal did not have much possession. Still led the press well, though.
Thomas Partey 7
Justified getting the nod over Jorginho with a good performance. Broke up play well and had some nice moments on the ball.
Declan Rice 6
Played as No8 again and was pushed forward. Was having a solid game until he gave away a penalty for a kick on Ben Davies late on.
Bukayo Saka 9
An electric performance from the winger. Assisted the opener and then scored a stunning second goal. Unplayable at times.
Kai Havertz 9 | Star player
What a performance from the German. Setup Arsenal’s second with a great pass and scored the third. One of his best performances in an Arsenal shirt.
Leandro Trossard 6
A bit shaky in the early stages and was guilty of giving the ball away too easily. Steadied himself and put in a solid display.
