Arsenal sent five-word Benjamin Sesko transfer message as Mikel Arteta provides crucial update
Mikel Arteta only has a couple of days on the training pitches before Arsenal return to action. The Gunners will lock horns with Wolves at Molineux on Saturday afternoon as they look to narrow Liverpool's lead in the Premier League title race.
Arsenal cruised to victory in their penultimate Champions League 'league phase' match, defeating Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening. The north Londoners will head into this weekend's clash full of confidence, but Wolves have had the luxury of a week to prepare.
While Arteta puts his players through their paces, he'll be hoping his higher-ups are working hard to sign him a new striker. So, with that being said, football.london has rounded up the latest Arsenal news and transfer gossip.

Arsenal sent Sesko update
Marco Rose has insisted that Benjamin Sesko won't be allowed to leave RB Leipzig during the January transfer window. The 21-year-old striker, who has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this month, fired the German outfit to a 2-1 win over Sporting in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Sesko, who sees his deal at the Red Bull Arena expire in June 2029, has featured seven times in the European top flight this season, scoring four goals. Despite his best efforts, the Slovenia international hasn't managed to lead RB Leipzig to the next round of the competition.
Speaking to reporters after the Sporting clash, Rose insisted he will not sanction a move this month. When asked by Sky Germany if Sesko will 'definitely not be allowed to leave the club in the winter', he replied: "Yes, that’s still the case!"
football.london says: "I'm not surprised. Arsenal should've signed a new striker in the summer but they didn't – and now they're paying the price. That said, I wouldn't sign Benjamin Sesko anyway. Alexander Isak is obviously the dream, but I can't see Newcastle selling. Meanwhile, Viktor Gyokeres is right there. He'd be brilliant."
Wolves set Cunha price tag
Arsenal have been told how much they need to pay to sign Matheus Cunha. According to the Mirror, the Gunners are joined by Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest in the race to secure the 25-year-old striker's signature.
Sky Sports claim a £60m bid could be enough to tempt Wolves to cash in. That said, Vitor Pereira has insisted Cunha remains 'committed' to the West Midlands outfit despite interest from numerous Premier League clubs.
"He is committed to Wolves," said the Wolves boss. "But in your life when you start to listen that other clubs (are interested), he's human and it's normal in football. He needs to put his mind on the target, to increase his level because he's come from injury and it's normal he's not at the same level now.
"To help the team again with his quality, because he has a lot of quality. The team needs him with good energy, not with frustration. He must slow down and put his mind in the right place."
football.london says: "Like I've said, Arsenal should be going after Viktor Gyokeres! Matheus Cunha is a class player, but I'm not sure he's what the Gunners really need. Sure, he'd be a luxury signing – and he'd probably do really well. But Mikel Arteta needs an orthodox striker."
Arteta issues injury update
Mikel Arteta has provided an injury update on Myles Lewis-Skelly and Riccardo Calafiori. Speaking on TNT Sports ahead of the Champions League clash against Dinamo Zagreb, Arsenal boss was quizzed on the Hale End graduate's omission from the matchday squad.
He said: "He could not finish the training session yesterday unfortunately. He had an incident during the match against Aston Villa and he wasn't feeling right yesterday so he could not finish the session."
Then, on the Italy international, who returned to the bench after a brief period on the sidelines, Arteta added: "The same with Ricci as well, he only trained 20 minutes yesterday. Adapt again like we have done all season and have some freshness in the team which i think is important as well."
football.london says: "Arsenal urgently need to reinforce Mikel Arteta's squad. How are the Gunners meant to compete on all fronts with players dropping like flies?"
