Arsenal star Declan Rice sends defiant Premier League title race warning to Liverpool
Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has insisted that his team will continue to put pressure on Premier League leaders Liverpool as 2025 begins. The Reds have been the standout performers in the top flight this season and currently have a six-point gap at the top of the table.
The Gunners closed that advantage on New Year's Day as they beat Brentford 3-1, after going a goal down, with Gabriel Jesus, Mikel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli all on the scoresheet. Arne Slot's side will still be confident they can maintain their advantage until the end of the season.
Last time out, Liverpool showed their strength with a comfortable 5-0 victory over West Ham and they head into the big clash with Manchester United on Sunday knowing Ruben Amorim's side are low on confidence. What's more, the Reds also hold a game in hand on all the teams around them but will be under no illusions that the three points will be a given considering that match is across Stanley Park against Everton.

While Liverpool remain confident, Rice has declared on social media that his team will not be looking to give up on their pursuit of the title. Writing on Instagram after the victory on New Year's Day, the England midfielder explained: "Start the year right.
"Big win. Time to lock in and keep pushing ourselves. COYG (Come on you Gunners)."
As mentioned, next up for Liverpool is the visit of United before attention turns to the cups next week with a trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup in midweek followed by hosting League Two's Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup.
