Arsenal midfielder Frida Maanum will miss the start of Norway’s Euro 2025 qualifying campaign after she collapsed during stoppage time in Sunday’s League Cup final win over Chelsea.

Arsenal confirmed later that Maanum did not lose consciousness and did not require hospital treatment, adding on Wednesday that the 24-year-old is “stable and doing well”.

But she is staying in London to undergo further tests this week, as she continues to be assessed by Arsenal’s medical staff.

Maanum will not feature in Norway’s opening Euro 2025 qualifier against Finland in Oslo on Friday and is also a doubt for their match against the Netherlands in Breda next Tuesday.

An Arsenal spokesperson said: “Frida will continue to be closely monitored by our medical team this week and will therefore not meet up with the Norwegian national team before their game on Friday.

“We are liaising closely with the Norwegian medical team.”
