Arsenal star ruled out for the season as Mikel Arteta worst injury nightmare comes true
Arsenal have been handed another major injury blow in attack with Kai Havertz reportedly set to miss the rest of the season with a torn hamstring.
Reports on Tuesday claimed the forward had suffered an injury scare during the club's training trip to Dubai and those worries were confirmed on Wednesday by The Athletic's David Ornstein.
After being assessed, Havertz is now set to miss the rest of the season. The report adds that it's unclear if the German international will need surgery for the injury.

The 25-year-old's injury is the latest injury problem Mikel Arteta has been faced with this term. Bukayo Saka has been out since December after undergoing hamstring surgery while Gabriel Martinelli (hamstring) and Gabriel Jesus (ACL) are also out.
Havertz has scored 15 goals and registered five assists in 34 appearances this season. His injury places further question marks over the Gunners' decision not to sign a forward in the January transfer window.
Arsenal were actively looking for reinforcements in the final third after Saka's injury before Christmas. Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak have all been linked with moves to north London.
A bid for Ollie Watkins was rejected by Aston Villa late in the window and the decision was made to focus on long-term targets for the summer window.
However, with the title race still open, Arsenal are set to go to battle with Liverpool incredibly short in the final third. Arteta's men travel to Leicester City this weekend before taking on West Ham and Nottingham Forest.
