Arsenal target drops another transfer hint as release clause increases to £25m
Reported Arsenal transfer target Joan Garcia has dropped another hint that his future could lie away from Espanyol.
The Gunners were linked with a move for the goalkeeper last summer as they made changes between the posts. Aaron Ramsdale completed a permanent move to Southampton, with Neto arriving on loan from Bournemouth and youth prospect Tommy Setford being signed from Ajax.
Garcia emerged as a potential target last summer for Mikel Arteta and Co., with some reports suggesting that Arsenal had lodged an unsuccessful €20million (£16.7million) offer for the goalkeeper. Even though the Gunners did not sign Garcia, the shot-stopper continues to be linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

In an interview in Spain, the 23-year-old has dropped a hint that his future could lie away from Espanyol. Garcia also insisted that he is "very calm" about the speculation that he could leave the La Liga club in the days or months ahead.
"I am a very cold person in every sense and I think that this attitude helps me," said Garcia in an interview with Radio Marca, via Mundo Deportivo.
"I am very calm at Espanyol, with an opportunity that I have been waiting for a long time."
This was not the first time that Garcia had spoken about his future at Espanyol. The goalkeeper recently talked about the prospect of leaving the La Liga outfit.
"Each situation is different, I can't talk about the situation of the other players," Garcia told Mundo Deportivo last month. "I am clear that if one day I have to leave it will be for the good of everyone, mine and the club, which is what has made me grow, it can't be any other way."
The report claims that Garcia currently has a €25million (£20.9million) release clause in his contract at Espanyol. This figure will apparently increase to €30million (£25million) later this month.
