Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur-linked striker Randal Kolo Muani found himself left out of the Paris Saint-Germain squad entirely this past weekend as he pushes towards a January exit.

Throughout last week rumours intensified around the forward's future. Failing to make the desired impact in the French capital though continuing to be selected for his country, it seems an imminent transfer is likely.

From Arsenal's perspective, they have struggled in the goalscoring department overall this term as Mikel Arteta continues to operate without a defined central striker.

And as for Spurs, Ange Postecoglou has hinted towards the possibility of using the market to recruit another forward.

"He said: "Hopefully in the very near future we get some help for him (Dominic Solanke) and then I think we’ll see him go to another level." When pushed on whether help meant players coming back from injury or new signings, he added: "Both. It's hopefully what we can do but I wouldn't suggest tomorrow. Not a centre-forward but I think we need some help in the front half if we can get it."

With recent reports suggesting PSG would be open to allowing a loan with the option for the successful club to purchase in the summer, Kolo Muani finds himself sidelined.

St-Etienne were the visitors to Parc de Princes on Sunday night in Ligue 1, and the 26-year-old was nowhere to be seen in Luis Enrique's squad. It turned out they did not need him as Ousmane Dembele scored twice en route to a 2-1 victory.

Except rather than this opening the door to a switch to either one of North London's rival clubs, it appears it is Italian giants Juventus who are most confident of landing the loan signing this month.

According to Tuttosport prior to the weekend, Kolo Muani has given the green light to join the Serie A club.
