Arsenal vs Aston Villa simulated to predict important Premier League clash
Arsenal will continue their hunt for the Premier League trophy when they take on Aston Villa later today.
A huge 2-1 victory in the north London derby saw Arsenal not only complete the double over Tottenham but also close the gap on league leaders Liverpool, with the Gunners just four points behind the Reds following their 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest. Next up for Mikel Arteta's side is another tough clash, with Arsenal facing Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.
Aston Villa were a tough opponent for the Gunners last season with Unai Emery's side winning both home and away, but the meeting between the two at Villa Park earlier this campaign saw Arteta's side win 2-0, with Leandro Trossard and Thomas Partey getting on the scoresheet. There are no new injury concerns for Arsenal, though Gabriel Martinelli is likely to return to the starting XI in place of Raheem Sterling.

Arsenal vs Aston Villa score predicted
To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 25 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.
We predict that Arsenal could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Partey, Rice, Odegaard; Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard.
We predict that Villa could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Mings, Digne; Onana, Tielemans, Kamara; Rogers, Watkins, Ramsey.
Two minutes in, Aston Villa took the lead with their first shot of the game when Morgan Rogers' drilled cross into the box was lifted over David Raya at the front post by Ollie Watkins. After conceding early, Arsenal were fantastic throughout the remainder of the first half, and a quickfire double just before the break saw them enter half-time a goal ahead.
Declan Rice's corner into the box was headed in at the back post by Gabriel to make it 1-1 in the 41st minute, with the defender one of the Gunners' biggest attacking threats once again. Then, just four minutes later, Arteta's side took the lead, with Declan Rice sliding in to meet Gabriel Martinelli's cross and turn the ball into the net from close range.
Villa began the second half as the team in control, with Emery's side threatening the most as they looked to find an equaliser. But, out of nowhere, Kai Havertz bagged a 17-minute hat-trick to wrap up the three points in style for Arsenal.
His first goal came in the 79th minute when a one-two with Trossard played him through one-on-one with the 'keeper, and a calm finish saw the striker slip the ball through Emi Martinez's legs from close range to give the Gunners a two-goal cushion. As always, Arteta's side were a threat from set-pieces, and in the 82nd minute, Havertz headed home from a corner to make it 4-1 and put the game out of sight.
In the 96th minute, substitute Sterling was tripped in the box as he won Arsenal a penalty, and Havertz stepped up to score, securing his hat-trick and an emphatic win for the Gunners.
