Arsenal are set to begin their FA Cup quest for the 2024/2025 campaign and the competition has already thrown up a major twist by drawing them at home to holders Manchester United.

A final twice before in the FA Cup's 154-year history, at least one major Premier League team is destined to exit at the earliest stage possible. The Gunners will be doing their utmost to ensure it's not them - as it has been so often in recent seasons.

Defeat to Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium 12 months ago marked an early exit, and they suffered the same fate away to Nottingham Forest two seasons prior.

In fact, since lifting the trophy in 2019/2020, head coach Mikel Arteta has been unable to see his team beyond the competition's fourth round stage.

Not only does that curse need to be lifted if Arsenal are to give themselves the best chance of winning silverware this season, a win would be much appreciated by the north London faithful following Tuesday's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg defeat against Newcastle United.

With that said, football.london takes a look at how you can follow the tie on TV;

When is Arsenal vs Man United and what time is kick-off?

Arsenal's home game against United in the FA Cup will take place on Sunday, January 12 at 3pm. It is the 16th FA Cup tie between the two clubs, but the first in the third round of the competition.

Boosting the Gunners' confidence is the fact that they have eliminated the FA Cup's holders in each of the last six matches they have played them. Attesting for a United win, however, is the fact that they've knocked Arsenal out eight times before - more than any other opponent.

How can I watch Arsenal vs Man United live on TV in the UK?

In the UK, the FA Cup match between Arsenal and United will be available to watch live on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and through the BBC Sport website. If you can't watch live, highlights from the match will be shown on YouTube afterwards. BBC and ITV have split coverage of the FA Cup across the season - so that fans across the country can enjoy matches free-to-air.

What is the latest Arsenal vs Man United team news?

Arsenal have Bukayo Saka, Ben White, Ethan Nwaneri and Takehiro Tomiyasu all out injured currently.

Arteta will definitely be unable to call upon that quartet, and against such a strong opponent it must be seen how many changes he decides to make. Speaking at his press conference, the boss was also asked about Neto replacing David Raya in goal.

"Yeah that's always when the players are not playing many minutes in his case as well, because he was cup-tied as well for the Carabao Cup, he's doing so well," he replied. "We will decide the best option, because the history has changed a lot in the competition when you look at last week and the line-ups are completely different, everybody has to be available and ready to play."
