Boise State football running back Ashton Jeanty is on a mission to break both a longstanding record and an ongoing trend.

Jeanty is on pace to break Barry Sanders' NCAA single-season rushing record, set at Oklahoma State in 1988. He is also looking to become the first Heisman Trophy winner at running back since Alabama's Derrick Henry in 2015.

During the 2024 college football season, Jeanty has rushed for over 100 yards 10 times, crossed 150 rushing yards six times, and over 200 yards four times. As a result, Jeanty has himself clearly in the race for the top honors for a college football player. According to BetMGM, he began the season off the board for Heisman talks.
