Aston Villa confirm loan transfer as striker leaves to aid promotion hunt
Aston Villa have loaned youngster Charlie Lutz to nearby Kidderminster Harriers for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, the non-league club have confirmed. Forward Lutz, 20, has been at Villa since he joined the club as a nine year old and has risen through the academy ranks in the years since.
It's Lutz's first experience of first-team football after being limited only to Premier League 2 football and the odd EFL Trophy run-out this season; Lutz came off the bench in the 3-0 defeat to Barrow in the group stages of the Trophy in November, but otherwise he has played regularly for Josep Gombau's under 21s in the PL2.

Lutz scored a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Leeds United earlier in the season and has made six appearances in the league to date, including recently in the narrow defeat to Manchester United and the frantic 3-3 draw with their Fulham counterparts.
Now, he'll go and help Harriers for the rest of the season; they're under the management of former Hull City boss Phil Brown and have former Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder David Davis among their ranks.
Under Brown, Kiddy are third in the National League North, behind pacesetters Chester City and Scunthorpe United, as they bid to return to the National League by the end of the season.
