Aston Villa 'considering' summer transfer decision after failed move
Aston Villa are reportedly considering recalling Samuel Iling-Junior from his loan at Bologna after the winger has struggled to secure enough minutes during the first half of the season.
According to The Athletic, the club are expected to make a decision next week over whether to bring the 21-year-old back to Villa Park or let him continue his loan spell in Serie A. Iling-Junior has only made 12 appearances in all competitions and has not started a single league game for Bologna since joining on loan in the summer.
The English winger arrived at Villa from Juventus in the same summer window alongside Enzo Barrenechea for a combined €22 million deal, with midfielder Douglas Luiz going the other way in a separate deal. Barrenechea has enjoyed a better loan spell at Valencia after also being sent on loan in the summer.

If Iling-Junior is to be recalled, he would join Louie Barry in being brought back to the West Midlands after the young striker was confirmed to be returning early from his exceptional loan spell with Stockport County in League One.
Due to the fact the former Juventus player has not made a competitive appearance for Villa this season before his move, he would be allowed to join a different team on loan in the upcoming January transfer window.
