Aston Villa youngster Lamare Bogarde is reportedly attracting interest from clubs on the continent.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign under Unai Emery this term, featuring in 11 games across all competitions.

He has made four starts in the Premier League and two in the Champions League, while he impressed against Tottenham Hotspur last time out.

Bogarde replaced the injured Ezri Konsa in the first half of Villa’s 2-1 win over Spurs as he played alongside Boubacar Kamara from the 26th minute.

Capable of operating at right-back and in holding midfield too, Emery is a big fan of Bogarde’s versatility and sees lots of potential in his game.

Bogarde’s contract with Villa is set to expire in 2026, meaning he will enter the final 12 months of his deal in the summer.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Sevilla and Dutch giants Ajax are among the clubs interested in signing Bogarde, who joined Villa in September 2020 from Feyenoord.

Villa received a concrete proposal from Nottingham Forest last summer, but refused their offer.

After impressing in pre-season, Emery kept Bogarde in his first-team plans for the 2024/25 campaign instead of sanctioning a loan move elsewhere.

After Villa’s win over Spurs, Emery praised Bogarde when asked about the new signings he made in January, with Donyell Malen, Andres Garcia, Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio all playing their part in the victory.

"We have to build the team again after the circumstances we had,’ Emery said. “Lamare Bogarde played consistently again when we needed him. Andres Garcia and Malen both played in the idea we had.

“They were consistent and focused. As well, Marcus Rashford and Asensio, we watched their skill and how they helped us and will help us again in the next months in the different competitions we will face. We are in a new way after the changes we did.

“We are demanding because we still need to improve due to some tactical issues and how we want to compete in the Premier League."
