Aston Villa are considering a move for Celtic’s Nicolas Kuhn as Unai Emery looks to add depth to his attacking resource in the January transfer window.

That’s according to TBR Football who report Villa are one of several Premier League clubs ‘looking closely’ at the 24-year-old, along with the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle – with Celtic said to be reluctant sellers.

However, the report adds a ‘large offer’ could bring the Scottish outfit to the negotiating table, with Kuhn having provided 25 goal contributions in 25 games so far this term. That includes 14 goals and 11 assists, with his brace against RB Leipzig in the Champions League the highlight.

TBR reckon Celtic, who paid £3million for him when they bought him from Rapid Wien last January, could triple their money in just 12 months. The German-born attacker has spent time at Ajax and Bayern Munich during his career and has four-and-a-half-years left on his contract.

Villa have been linked with several attacking players with Moussa Diaby having left in the summer. Leon Bailey, Jaden Philogene, Morgan Rogers, Emi Buendia and even Jacob Ramsey and John McGinn have played out wide.
