Aston Villa respond to West Ham's £57m bid for Jhon Duran
Aston Villa have rejected an offer from West Ham for star striker Jhon Duran.
That’s according to The Telegraph who say Villa have rejected the bid and confirmed their stance that the 21-year-old is not for sale in the current transfer window.
The news came just minutes after The Athletic revealed the Hammers had bid £57million for the Columbian who has scored 12 goals in 27 matches so far this term.

It also comes after West Ham offered Villa £30m for the striker and amid intense interest in a player who is enjoying the best period of his career, perhaps having not fully dislodged Ollie Watkins as first choice centre-forward but certainly getting his share of game-time and more recently starts.
The Hammers’ summer offer, though, was before this season’s breakthrough and before he signed a new contact which will keep him at Villa Park until 2030. Not that it has ended the speculation linking him with the likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Telegraph say Duran is now viewed as a ‘key player’ by Unai Emery as he tries to manage the twin demands of the Premier League and Champions League.
