Aston Villa set to make January transfer decision with player exit on cards
Aston Villa goalkeeper Joe Gauci is expected to leave on loan this month.
The 24-year-old has interest from two clubs, including Belgian Pro League side KVC Westerlo. A decision on where he will play his football for the remainder of the campaign is set to be made shortly.
He joined Villa 12 months ago from A-League side Adelaide United, but has only made two appearances under Unai Emery, which came in the EFL Cup this season.

He started in the win over Wycombe Wanderers back in September and was unfortunate not to have kept a clean sheet on his debut after conceding late on.
Gauci then played against Crystal Palace in the fourth round, which Villa lost 2-1 at home. Robin Olsen was not available for either match and replaced Emi Martinez for the second half against Chelsea after the Argentina international suffered a hand injury at Stamford Bridge.
Australia international Gauci signed a four-and-a-half-year deal upon joining Villa last year after making 76 appearances for Adelaide.
He has seven caps for his nation, with six of them coming after joining Villa. He has kept four clean sheets for the Socceroos since making his debut in March 2023.
