Aston Villa have signed a 'weapon' who prides himself on one quality
Aston Villa did their homework before proceeding with a move to bring young right-back Andres Garcia to the club in the January transfer window. Garcia was signed from Spanish second tier side Levante for a fee in the region of £7m and he has already been involved in the starting XI.
Upon arrival, Garcia deputised for Matty Cash at right-back, before he was given the nod in the Midlands derby with Wolves earlier this month. Since, Garcia has featured routinely while his full-back counterpart has been recovering from his injury setback and there have been plenty of signs that the youngster is adapting quickly.
It hasn't been without its early bumps in the road; Garcia's error on Wednesday night led to Mohamed Salah's opening goal in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool, but there are plenty of aspects of Garcia's performances already which have offered encouragement.

Garcia himself, in an interview with Sky Sports, has listed how he would describe himself as a player - a player who attends to his responsibilities as a full-back first and foremost, but who is capable of, and has the license to, offering plenty to Villa's attacking moves in any given game - especially through crossing.
"I would describe myself as a full-back who helps a lot defensively but can also be a weapon in attack, someone who can generate imbalances with one-on-ones and, above all, a good crosser," Garcia said. "That is it more or less. Physicality, speed, supporting runs."
Garcia has already enjoyed learning under compatriot Unai Emery.
"He is a very detailed coach," Garcia added. "He really likes to work on the video, where he can see our mistakes, and where he can give us the tools to find the easiest way to overcome the opposition's pressing, and to get to the opposition's penalty area.
"He wants to create a super compact team with a very clear structure. He is showing us a way of playing and his staff are all united in the idea, working with us individually. He is very competitive with that hunger that you need to achieve your goals."
