Aston Villa supporter bus damaged after Newcastle United Boxing Day victory
Northumbria Police have launched an investigation after an Aston Villa supporter bus was attacked after the Boxing Day clash at St James' Park.
Newcastle United beat Unai Emery's side 3-0 in the Premier League on Tyneside before visiting fans made their way back to the second city. However, one bus had its windows put out shortly after the game had finished and away supporters made their way up Barrack Road.
An image shows the back window of the bus shattered with a picture of a rock although it has not be established whether it was a rival fan with one claim from Villa supporters that it was thrown by a visiting fan who was refused entry back on to the bus.
