Aston Villa linked playmaker Tyler Dibling will command offers of up to £55m in the summer transfer window, according to reports. Despite the miserable season that Southampton are collectively experiencing at the foot of the Premier League table this term, Dibling has been a shining light and has attracted the attention of clubs elsewhere as a result.

The teenager is a Saints academy product who has really made his mark in the team this season, following the club's immediate return to the Premier League after spending a year in the Championship; he has featured regularly under Russell Martin and now under Ivan Juric and has scored four goals this term, including a brace in the FA Cup win over Swansea.

Dibling's contract with Southampton runs until the summer of 2027 but, with the club staring relegation in the face in January, having taken just six points from 22 league matches, the Saints are anticipating a queue of clubs looking to snare him in the summer window. They will, though, demand fair remuneration.

Reports suggest that they will only entertain offers in the region of £55m in the summer, a fee which would hypothetically make him Villa's record signing after they parted with £50m to sign midfielder Amadou Onana from Everton last summer. Dibling, 18, has predominantly been utilised as a right winger this season.

Dibling isn't expected to leave St Mary's this month, but there is an acceptance that a departure is likely in the summer if and when the Saints are relegated. Tottenham, Chelsea, Newcastle and RB Leipzig have also been linked with moves for the exciting talent, but any side intending to sign him will have to match Saints' valuation.
