Aston Villa 'on the verge' of transfer agreement amid mega bids for Jhon Duran and Ollie Watkins
Al-Nassr are reportedly on the verge of reaching a verbal agreement with Aston Villa over signing Jhon Duran.
The deal is said to be for around £63m plus add-ons, according to Fabrizio Romano. However, the Saudi Pro League side are also in advanced negotiations over signing Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen.
They will have to decide which forward they want to sign to aid their title push under Stefano Pioli. Duran has been in sensational form in the first half of the campaign, scoring 12 goals despite only starting seven matches in all competitions.

The news comes as Arsenal’s attempts to sign Ollie Watkins were rebuffed by Villa. It is expected that the Gunners will return with an improved bid.
Watkins has hit double figures in all five league campaigns he has played for Villa after bagging his 10th league goal of the campaign in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal earlier this month. Then, after assisting Jacob Ramsey in the draw with West Ham last weekend, Watkins reached 100 goal involvements in the fewest Premier League games (169) by any player since Kevin De Bruyne achieved the milestone in 155 matches in July 2020.
Villa are looking to sign Joao Felix from Chelsea before the deadline on February 3, with a move for the Portuguese likely dependent on a big sale.
