Aston Villa will be without five players for their Premier League clash against Leicester City.

Diego Carlos and Jaden Philogene will both miss the match through small injuries, while Pau Torres is expected to be sidelined for around two months after breaking a metatarsal in his foot. Jhon Duran and Morgan Rogers are suspended, but both players will return for the club's next Premier League match against Everton.

Duran picked up a red card in the game against Newcastle United on Boxing Day and Villa went on to lose 3-0. Villa appealed against the red card which the striker received for violent conduct, but it was rejected.

Earlier this week, Duran was also charged by the Football Association with improper conduct for his reaction to his sending off.

A statement on the FA spokesperson feed on X read: “It’s alleged that the Aston Villa forward acted in an improper manner in the 32nd minute of the fixture, after being sent off.”

Rogers picked up his fifth booking of the season inside the first 19 matches of the campaign, which resulted in a one-match ban.

Villa can complete their first league double over Leicester since 2004 on Saturday following their 2-1 win at the King Power Stadium in August.

Leicester have won three of the last four Premier League meetings at Villa Park, following a run of two victories in their opening 10 visits.
