Aston Villa's Champions League last 16 opponents decided after Celtic win
Aston Villa will face one of four teams in the Champions League last 16.
Unai Emery’s side confirmed their place in the knockout phase of the competition by beating Celtic 4-2 at Villa Park on Wednesday night thanks to a hat-trick from Morgan Rogers and a strike from Ollie Watkins.
They will automatically take their place in the last 16 and will face one of Sporting, Club Brugge, Atalanta or Borussia Dortmund, who will all take part in the play-offs round.

Rogers gave Villa the perfect start against Celtic, hitting a quick-fire double in the opening five minutes. But the home side were left shocked when Adam Idah scored twice in three minutes for Celtic towards the end of the first half to make it 2-2.
Watkins came to Villa’s rescue in the second half. The England striker was in the spotlight ahead of kick-off as it emerged Villa had rejected a transfer offer for him from Arsenal, but he didn’t look distracted by it all as he fired Villa back in front on the hour mark.
Rogers went on to complete his hat-trick in injury time as Villa won 4-2 to clinch eighth place in the table to qualify automatically for the knockout phase.
